The vertical bar for each year shows the percentage of students who enroll in college, divided into two section, one for the percentage of all Maine students who enroll in the University of Maine System and one for the percentage of all Maine students who enroll at another institution. Note: Exclusions include students still enrolled in University of Maine System (UMS) Early College as of following fall term (as of October 15) and students who were under the age of 18 as of October 15 in the following fall term.

A horizontal line at 62% indicates the average of all Maine high school graduates enrolled in college the fall immediately after graduation (Class 2012-19), and second horizontal line at 20% indicates average of all Maine high school graduates enrolled in UMS the fall immediately after graduation (Class 2012-19).
