📌Semester Registration Information
- All offices are continuing to accept applications for summer courses.
- Seniors are not eligible for early college courses in the summer semester following their senior year, regardless of course start date or high school graduation status.
- We will begin accepting fall applications on Friday, April 5th.
- Watch our latest Credit Talk to learn more.
- Please be aware that the University of Maine at Machias is now a regional campus of the University of Maine (UM) and the 2 campuses now have a combined catalog. If you are looking for Machias courses they will be available by selecting UM.
- Do your students need assistance signing up or have questions about the application process? Use our ExplorEC Portal Guided Video Tutorials.
❗️Important Reminder about Deadlines and Completed Applications
- The deadline for completed applications is 1 week before the class start date.
- We cannot make exceptions for incomplete or late applications. Applications that are not completed by the deadline will be marked “Late Application” in the ExplorEC Portal and will NOT be processed for enrollment.
- We cannot guarantee space in any course, please remind students that ExplorEC is an application portal, but they are not registered until they get a confirmation email.

💡Tips to Help your Student(s) get Registered for their Desired Courses
- Have students apply as soon as possible once ExplorEC is open for applications. The closer we get to the registration deadline the more likely courses will be full.
- Make sure student applications are complete by providing us with your recommendation and any supporting documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.)
- Have the summer off? Designate someone at your high school to approve applications while you are out.
- Don’t wait until the start of school in the fall to have students apply for courses or approve applications. The majority of fall semester courses begin before high schools are in session, deadlines will be missed, and courses will be full.

🗺️Career Pathway Module in ExplorEC
Some of you may have noticed that there is a new tile in your ExplorEC Portal called, “Student Career Pathways”. Students also have a tile called “My Career Pathways”. We are piloting this new module and working out the bugs. We have had some students apply for pathways in the system and that is okay. Please know that we will formally launch this module soon and provide training materials for you and your students. In the meantime, reach out to Christy at 207-255-1268 or ecadvising@maine.edu with any questions you might have.
