The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives develops and implements the strategic mission and priority objectives of the University of Maine System (UMS) while also maintaining oversight and leadership of the Chancellor’s Office.
The Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives also serves as the Chief of Staff to the Chancellor and advises the Chancellor on matters of governance, strategy, policy, and organization; facilitates and leads progress on System strategic initiatives; and, functioning as Chief of Staff, oversees the Chancellor’s System executive office senior staff and agenda.
