graphic of six questions marksAre You Interested in Early College, But Not Sure What Course to Take?

General education courses are a great way to explore Early College classes. These courses provide the background and skills needed for college, regardless of the major you choose. Many of the general education courses listed below will satisfy degree requirements when you attend college.

Disclaimer: Please note that curriculum at each institution is subject to change, and that Early College is not always aware of those changes. With that in mind, this is a guide to our most popular courses that are the same (aka deemed equivalent) at each Maine Public University. For example, College Writing (ENG 101) at the University of Maine at Augusta would be equivalent to College Writing at the University of Southern Maine (ENG 100) or Composition & Presentation I at the University of Maine at Machias (ENG 101), etc. To be sure that a course would transfer from one Maine Public University to another, always check with an advisor of the university where you are looking to transfer courses into.

If you still have questions about which course to take, please contact an Early College Administrator at any of our Universities. We work collaboratively and can recommend a program to best match your career interests.
