July 10, 2025- Graduating Seniors & Transcripts

The following was sent to all senior graduates and their parents:

Dear Graduate,

On behalf of the University of Maine System Early College Program, congratulations on your high school graduation!

We’re so proud of the hard work and dedication you’ve shown through your participation in the Early College program. Whether you took one course or several, you’ve taken an important step in your academic journey, and we’re honored to have been part of it.

As you prepare for your next chapter, we want to wish you all the best in your future endeavors—whether you’re heading to college, the workforce, the military, or exploring new opp

📄 Don’t Forget to Request Your Official UMS Transcript

For those of you attending a college outside the University of Maine System (UMA, UMFK, UMPI, USM, UMF, or UM) this fall, please remember to request your official UMS transcript and have it sent to the college you’ll be attending. If you’re enrolling at a UMS campus, no transcript request is necessary—your credits will already be on file.

🎓 Why You Need to Send Your Transcript:
✅ Transfer of Credit: Colleges need the official transcript to award you credit toward your degree. Just listing it on your application is not enough.
✅ Placement & Advising: Your new school needs to see your completed coursework so they can help place you in the correct classes.
✅ Avoid Duplicates: If colleges don’t know you’ve already earned credit, you might be scheduled repeat courses. Your time and money are valuable and you do not want to take courses that are not necessary.

If you’re not sure how to request your transcript, visit our Transcript Information Page for step-by-step instructions.

If you need help or have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

Wishing you continued success,
The UMS Early College Team
