  • 1 UMF:  One individual released from isolation and one new case involving a person identified in non-university testing and isolating in a non-university location.

There are no known cases at the other University of Maine System universities. 

The above Data reflects ACTIVE known cases identified through the UMS asymptomatic screening and other testing venues.  When an individual is released from an isolation order by a public health agency the active case number shared in the Together for Maine daily update is reduced to reflect that change.  UMS is reporting five known cases today, the same number of cases reported in the 11/2/20 update.

The Asymptomatic Screening Dashboard at Together.Maine.edu represents known results on all asymptomatic tests going back to July 22, 2020.  About 48 hours passes from the time a test sample is collected and when the results are known.

UMM fitness center to restrict access for two-week period

The Murdock Fitness and Aquatics Center at the University of Maine at Machias will be closed to the public for a two-week period, effective Nov. 3, in response to a sharp increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases in Washington County.

The fitness center had been open to community members since Oct. 5, following enhanced health and safety guidelines. Memberships will be extended by two weeks to make up for the closure. For updates on fitness center operations, visit machias.edu/fitness-center.
