Description:

The Maine Meat Cutting School is a rigorous program that introduces learners to high quality meat cutting and food safety training. The training is offered by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension (UMaine Extension) in cooperation with UMaine School of Food and Agriculture and the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. Learners develop knowledge of animal handling, basic safety, basic hygiene and sanitation, food labeling, meat quality, and cutting techniques for specific animals, including beef, swine and/or small ruminants.
