The Unified Catalog Working Group’s conversation last month with students about their transfer experiences yielded a number of important insights. Our ongoing review of transfer policies and practices System-wide has been equally informative. In summer 2023, we will work with the provosts and others on a holistic review of University of Maine System (UMS) transfer activity, with two primary aims: 1) Remove further barriers to student success in this area; and 2) prioritize ongoing work for the 2023-24 academic year. In fall 2023, we will also be partnering with UMS IT to align our Unified Catalog efforts more formally with the timing and sequence of the RePaving MaineStreet project.
