Basecamp: The Bold Coast | Sea Kayaking & Coastal Stewardship

Kick off your fall semester on the water. Before classes even begin, head to Machias to earn three credits in the field. This coastal intensive immerses you in the front lines of nature-based tourism. From overnight sea kayaking expeditions to island camping, you’ll work alongside local land trusts to study conservation in action. Master “Leave No Trace” techniques while navigating the rugged beauty of Maine’s islands and learning how to protect the landscapes that drive our experience economy.
