As part of the University of Maine System’s ongoing commitment to creating safe and inclusive
campuses, all students have access to the Interpersonal Violence (IPV) Prevention Training through
Brightspace.
While completing this training may be required for some students—such as those in athletics,
who have on-campus employment, or are in certain leadership roles—all students are
encouraged to participate. The training fulfills both Maine state law and federal VAWA
requirements to ensure every student has the opportunity to learn about these important topics.

How to Access the Training
- Open Brightspace from your MyCampus Launchpad
- Click on “Discover” in the menu
- Search for “Interpersonal Violence Prevention Training”
- Click on the training and select “Enroll in Course” blue button
