Policy Statement:
In order to provide for the orderly development of new academic programs, review of existing programs, and the elimination of programs no longer fulfilling a priority need consistent with the University of Maine System and the individual university missions, the Board of Trustees requires the institutions to follow established procedures and demonstrate consideration of Unified Accreditation and other relevant goals and objectives of the current Strategic Plan, if applicable. These procedures apply to the development of a new program of study and the significant curricular modification of an existing program of study.
