Policy Statement:

It shall be the policy of the University of Maine System to declare openly and profess its ownership of the seals, service marks, logos and trademarks, and any combination thereof, contained in the System’s Trademarks Book, to protect and defend its exclusive ownership thereof, to limit and restrict all use adverse to the University of Maine System, and to limit and control other use by third parties thereto through proper licensing agreements. The System’s Trademarks Book shall be on file in the Office of University Counsel.
