Responsible Office: Academic and Student Affairs
Policy Statement:
The policy of the Board of Trustees is to provide the maximum opportunity for internal and external transfer of academic credit to the University of Maine System.
When a student is accepted for transfer, all undergraduate degree credits successfully completed with a grade of C- or better at any unit of the University System will be transferable to any other unit of the University System, but will not be automatically applied to the specific academic degree program to which the student has transferred. With respect to transfer of credits internally and externally, each student will be expected to meet the established requirements of the academic program into which transfer is effected, and appropriate application of transfer credit is to be the responsibility of the particular academic unit.
