Richard Rosen

Richard was the interim Chief Financial Officer for the Maine Community College
System, after serving as Vice President for Financial and Institutional Services and
Chief Financial Officer for Maine Maritime Academy. He was appointed and confirmed as Commissioner of the Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services (DAFS) and served as Director of the Governor’s Office of Policy & Management.

Richard was elected by citizens in Hancock and Penobscot counties to serve three
terms in the state House of Representatives and four terms in the Senate. He was a
state commissioner on the Maine Indian and Tribal State Commission (MITSC).

Richard was born in Castine, Maine, raised in Bucksport and graduated from the
University of Maine. He owned and operated the family’s three generation 103-year-old retail business, Rosen’s Department Store.

Richard serves on the board of Northern Light Acadia Hospital. Prior board governance includes Northeast Historic Film and Study Center and the Retail Association of Maine.

Richard and his wife Kimberley, reside in Bucksport and are parents of two adult
children and three grandchildren.
