A report on micro-credentials across the University of Maine System (UMS) between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025 is now available. Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) accomplishments include:
- 2,540 competency-based digital badges issued.
- At least one badge embedded in an academic course or co-curricular program at each of UMS’ seven Universities, up from five the previous year. 1,792 learners, including 817 UMS students, earned at least one badge.
- Learners chose from 52 micro-credential pathways and 30 stand-alone micro-badges, including seven new pathways and five new micro-badges launched this year.
