Description:
This badge is issued in recognition of learners’ foundational knowledge of the original peoples of what is now called Maine. Learners explore this history from the time of the Ice Age to the present day. Each asynchronous module consists of videos, presentations, readings, and handouts:
- Ice Age
- Prehistory
- History
- Current Policy and Practice
After each module, learners are assessed through knowledge-based quizzes and must score 80% or higher on each to earn the digital badge. The content was developed by subject matter experts at the University of Maine’s Wabanaki Center to align with learning results that were rigorously tested in various academic institutions and levels of learning.
