Additional Information: National Licensure – Students also must obtain a state license after passing the national board exam to practice in most states. Also, not all states required a veterinary technician to become licensed. The Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) is used as part of a voluntary credential process in the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wyoming. It is required for all other states.
Any known states in which license is not accepted: No
