
Katelynn joined the University of Maine System Office of General Counsel in 2024, and advises university clients across UMS on a broad range of legal matters. Her practice encompasses athletics compliance and governance; intellectual property; contract drafting, negotiation, and review; data privacy and data sharing agreements; risk management and insurance matters; conflicts of interest review; and Board of Trustees governance and policy development. She began her legal career in private practice in Bangor, Maine, before transitioning to healthcare, experience that continues to inform her approach to complex regulatory and risk management issues.
A two-time alumna of the University of Maine, Katelynn holds a B.S. in Finance and Management and an MBA, both from the Maine Business School, and earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Maine.
Katelynn is active in the greater Bangor community, serving on the boards of the Challenger Learning Center of Maine; the Good Samaritan Agency, where she serves as Secretary; and the Penobscot County Bar Association, where she coordinates the annual Law Day Contest. She previously served as President of UpStart Maine. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, swimming, video games, movies, and spending time with her fiancé, Adam, and their dog, Winston.
