Lisa provides counsel on complex labor and employment matters, high-stakes litigation, and critical higher education compliance areas, including federal actions, EO and Title IX, ADA compliance, and regulatory affairs.
Lisa brings over 15 years of diverse legal and administrative experience to this position. Before joining UMS, she served as the Director of Human Resources and sole in-house counsel for Redington-Fairview General Hospital, where she navigated the intersection of healthcare law, risk management, and workforce development. Her background also includes several years in private practice as a partner specializing in civil litigation, family matters, real estate, and Probate. A proud graduate of the University of Maine (B.S.) and the University of Maine School of Law (J.D.), Lisa also holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration. She is deeply involved in her community through various board memberships and service initiatives. If you can’t find her at the office, you may see her at a stable riding horses with her daughter or hitting the fairways at a golf course.
