Tom joined the University of Maine System in 2016 as a Legal Fellow. After being hired and serving as Assistant General Counsel for Contracting since 2019, Tom has most recently been promoted to the position of Associate General Counsel.

In his current role, Tom provides comprehensive legal advice to the University for just about any matter, but with a strong focus in the areas of Public Records/FOAA, Privacy and Records Retention, and Real Estate and other Transactional matters, including Capital Project and Procurement events.

Tom is a Maine native who enjoys spending time in nature around his home in Freeport, where he lives with his wife and three wonderful children. Tom has a B.A. from Alfred University (2012) and received his J.D. from Maine Law (2015). He is currently a member in good standing with the Maine Bar and Maine Bar Association.
