Tips for Students

  • Remember that most employers seek interns early! The application and interview process for Forestry internships typically happens in early Fall for the following summer.
  • There are many places to look for internships! Try visiting the career pages of companies you’re interested in, asking your network about opportunities, attending career fairs or events, and looking at online job boards, like CareerLink and Indeed.
  • There are many resources to help you look, apply, and interview for internships. Make an appointment with an internship coordinator to prepare resumes and cover letters, or do a mock interview. Look for a clothing exchange to source professional attire.
  • Receiving academic credit is an excellent way to officially document your internship experience and have it appear on your transcript.
