About Your CRA

Jen (she/they) comes to UMM from a small liberal arts university in Minnesota, where she taught in the English and Women’s and Gender Studies departments and served as the director of the campus women’s resource center. In that role she provided education, advocacy, and resources for menstrual and sexual health and sexual violence prevention. They also were a member of the university’s sexual violence prevention taskforce, Title IX appeal committee, and bystander intervention program. While in Minnesota Jen also volunteered as an advocate for a county-wide sexual violence services center by supporting survivors through a crisis line and in hospitals during sexual assault forensic exams.

As a Confidential Resource Advisor, Jen provides trauma-informed and identity-affirming assistance to those impacted by interpersonal violence. Her goal is to help students and employees not only to access the immediate support they need but also to find their own path to healing after violence.

Jen is also the CRA for the University of Maine.
