Daily Updates Transition To Weekly and ‘As-Needed’ on Friday, December 4:  The University of Maine System will continue to produce daily data updates through Friday, December 4, to report on active, known COVID-19 cases identified through Round Seven screening and safe departure testing.  Reports will also continue to include cases reported to the universities as part of their work to track and limit the spread of infection during the in-person portion of the Fall semester.  The UMS universities transitioned to remote instruction as planned at the Thanksgiving break.

Maine’s public universities – with numerous pandemic protocols in place – are open and continue to serve students and the citizens of Maine.  UMS will be conducting further limited testing in December and January in support of safe operations and community health.  It will continue to update the public and university community on active, known COViD-19 cases known to the universities and other pandemic matters weekly beginning on Friday, December 11.

UMS will also issue timely updates as needed and resume daily updates in mid-January as the universities begin preparations to safely welcome students back to campuses for the January 25, 2021 start of the spring semester.
