0 — Known Cases of UMS students or employees in ME CDC Isolation

There are no known cases at the other University of Maine System universities. 

The above Data reflects ACTIVE known cases identified through the UMS asymptomatic screening and other testing venues.  When an individual is released from an isolation order by the Maine CDC the active case number shared in the Together for Maine daily update is reduced to reflect that change.  UMS is reporting zero known cases today, the samenumber reported in the  9/15/20 update

 

Asymptomatic Screening Update for Fall Safe Return

  • 14,751 Tests Results to Date
  • 13 positives results representing new diagnoses of COVID-19

The Asymptomatic Screening Dashboard posted at Together.Maine.edu has been updated and is active again.  Data presented on the dashboard represents known results on all asymptomatic tests going back to July 22, 2020.  About 48 hours passes from the time a test sample is collected and when the results are known.

Required Random Sampling Underway:  The University of Maine System universities are currently in the midst of their first round of Phase 3 monitoring, a protocol that includes random, required sampling of 2,000 students, staff, and faculty participating in campus-based activities.  The rounds of sampling occur over the course of ten days and will be repeated continuously until Thanksgiving break and the end of in-person instruction for the semester.
