  • 1 UMF: an adjunct faculty member isolating in the Farmington area

Note on Asymptomatic Positive Results:  A new positive at UMaine was identified late Sunday evening through the UMS asymptomatic screening.  The Asymptomatic Screening Dashboard is updated once daily at about 5 AM and does not currently reflect this latest case.

UMS has now identified 4 positive cases through its asymptomatic arrival screening among the 12 known and active cases being reported in today’s update — 2 cases at UMaine and 2 cases at the University of Southern Maine.  The 8 other cases reported today in the 12 known and active cases were identified through other testing venues and have been verified through collaboration with the Maine CDC.

Universities utilizing 1.8% of Isolation and Quarantine Space:   The University of Maine System universities have now set aside or identified 607 units of campus-based or hotel housing that can be used to support students or employees who are required to isolate or quarantine.  While those types of spaces are distinct for the isolating and quarantining individuals, on an overall basis the universities are currently using less than 2% of available space to manage existing isolation and quarantine needs.
