About Maine Center Ventures

Maine Center Ventures (MCV) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization established by the University of Maine System. MCV supports the development of the Maine Center by serving as a liaison between the academic and employer communities. MCV is responsible for meeting the requirements and expectations of the University of Maine System Board of Trustees and the Harold Alfond Foundation, and implementing the initial phase of a Maine Center Campaign.

Current MCV initiatives include:

  • Long-term planning for Maine Center programming and facilities
  • Branding and marketing to support the work of the Maine Center and our partner programs
  • Outreach and engagement with the employer community
  • Designing and delivering executive education and professional development opportunities
  • Supporting Maine’s startup community
  • Designing a fundraising campaign to support the Harold Alfond Foundation matching grant
