There are many opportunities for students transferring from a Maine Community College. Articulation agreements between schools in the University of Maine System and the Maine Community College System allow students to apply much of their associate’s degree to a baccalaureate program, reducing the amount of time needed to complete their degree.
Reverse Transfer is a process where academic credits for coursework completed at a university are transferred back to your community college to satisfy Associate degree or Certificate requirements.Through Reverse Transfer,a student’s achievements are recognized after they have transferred to a university and have accumulated the credits needed to fulfill the Associate degree or Certificate program. It’s value added to your education!
Another opportunity available to Maine Community College students is the AdvantageU program. For students receiving the AA in Liberal Studies, AdvantageU helps simplify the transfer process and also guarantees admission to any campus in the University of Maine System. For program specific information see AdvantageU.
