PRIVACY OFFICIAL - CONTACT INFORMATION
I. General
The University of Maine System Privacy Officials are responsible for the development and implementation of the University’s HIPAA Privacy Policies for its Health Care Components and will be responsible for answering questions regarding the content of the University’s Privacy Policies and Notice of Privacy Practices. The Privacy Officials also will be responsible for receiving complaints regarding compliance with the Policies and the Notice.

II. Campus Privacy Officials
Due to the size and geographic distribution of the HCCs of the University of Maine System, the University has designated Campus Privacy Officials who should be contacted first with any questions or complaints regarding the University’s privacy policies and procedures or compliance therewith. The Campus Privacy Officials will notify the System Privacy Officials regarding any violations of the privacy policies and procedures or the Privacy Rule, any complaints received, and in all other situations where the University’s privacy policies and procedures or the Privacy Rule require notification of or approval by the Privacy Official.
