User Acceptance Testing
User Acceptance Testing is a critical step in implementing a PeopleSoft module, involving intensive testing of the new system by its end-users to ensure that everything works as planned and anticipated.
UAT in the University of Maine System will take place June 26 through 29 and again July 11 through 14, 2006 in Bangor. End-users in the areas of Campus Community and Admissions & Recruitment from each of the universities have been identified and invited to participate in UAT.
Testing scripts are prepared for each individual tester, based on security and roles. Each business process that is is used in the new software system will be rigorously tested before the system is deemed ready for go-live.
A chart listing the more than 60 User Acceptance Testers (pdf), their home institutions, and the dates on which they will be participating in testing, is available.
