All new UMS-issued laptop, notebook, netbook, and tablet devices that will or may store or process Compliant or Business Sensitive Data shall be deployed with authentication and encryption capabilities installed and activated. There are many options available to use for encryption.  Hardware disk encryption is a popular choice as is off the shelf brands that require the purchase of licenses.  Open source brands are another option.
