National Employee Benefits Day
April 2, 2008
National Employee Benefits Day is Wednesday, April 2, 2008! This special day was originated by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and this year NEBD has a special focus on health care literacy. Health care literacy is the ability to read, understand, and act on medical information.
Your health matters to UMS.
Employees who understand and take a proactive approach to make positive health choices can improve their quality of life and even their life expectancy. Improved employee understanding of medical information can significantly reduce health plan costs for both employees and UMS. Individual health is also closely linked to community health and the health community in every State determines the overall health status of the Nation.
