Placement Testing
• Placement Tests are designed to help students select English and mathematics courses that are a good fit with their current skills.
• We administer tests for both USM and UMA students.
• Students taking placement tests will get a copy of their scores
immediately after testing.

USM Placement Testing
USM uses a math test called Accuplacer (CPT). It is an untimed, computerized exam which covers Pre-Algebra, Algebra and college-level mathematics. (USM does not require an English test to take ENG 104C-- Intensive College Writing.)
