UM-MACHIAS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES SET

TO VISIT CAMPUS IN APRIL

 

MACHIAS – Campus visits have been scheduled for four candidates for the presidency of the University of Maine at Machias (UMM).  The candidates will visit campus for a series of meetings with faculty, staff, students, and other members of the University community beginning Tuesday, April 19.   

 

University of Maine System Chancellor Joseph W. Westphal announced the four candidates Friday morning. A search committee, appointed by Board of Trustees Chair Charles L. Johnson, III last fall, selected the candidates following a nationwide search process.

 

The candidates, in alphabetical order, are: Michael J. Bell, vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty at Elmhurst College; Stephen G. Greiner, president of Virginia Intermont College; Edna Lief McBreen, associate vice provost at the University of Connecticut, Tri-Campus; and Donald L. Tuski, president of Olivet College.
