Robin Sherman, Director, IT Project Management Office

Robin’s early career path included journalism, counseling, and teaching until the world of technology captured her interest. Her work in the field of information technology started at UMaine in 1998 when she was hired to work with ASAP Media Services. That led to future positions at UMaine as a Faculty Development Specialist, IT Help Desk Coordinator, and FirstClass Email Administrator. In 2004, Robin started work with the UMS System Office and has served in a variety of positions including ERP Trainer, Manager of Training, Student Financials Business Analyst, and these days she’s very excited to be working in the newly established IT Project Management Office.

Alison Cox, IT Project Manager

Alison has worked in IT in two state university systems (UMS and the Connecticut State University System) and in functional offices on 4 campuses (Institutional Research at UMass/Amherst, Admissions at the University of New Orleans, Registrar at Central Connecticut State University, and Director of Student Records at UMaine). In 2003 Alison was conscripted from her UM job to help the UMS implement the student side of MaineStreet. And now the adventure continues with being part of the new PMO!



Sarah Doheny, IT Project Manager

After several years working in Maine’s outdoor adventure industry, Sarah enrolled as a graduate student in the Public Administration program at the University of Maine in January 2005.  She was granted a graduate assistantship with the Office of Student Financial Aid on campus and spent a year and half working as a Financial Aid Advisor. This role led to her hire as the Financial Aid Subject Matter Expert during the MaineStreet Campus Solutions implementation. After 6 years supporting Financial Aid, Sarah is excited to join the newly formed Project Management Office as an IT Project Manager!
