Approximately 75% of students attending Maine’s public universities receive some form of financial assistance. We encourage you to contact the financial aid officer of each university to learn more.

What is the “net price” of attending one of our universities?

The net price calculator — net price is the difference between the “sticker” price (full cost) to attend a specific college, minus any grants and scholarships for which students may be eligible. Sticker price includes direct charges (tuition and fees, room and board) and indirect costs (books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses).

Discounts for New England students

Students from across New England may attend Maine’s public universities at costs comparable to or less than their home state costs using the New England Regional Student Program’s Tuition Break Program. Students are eligible for the Tuition Break when they enroll in an approved major that is not offered by the public colleges and universities in their home state.
