Introduction

Hi, my name is Norman Coombs and today I want to give you a demonstration of JAWS, a screen reading program for blind computer users. It will take what's on the screen and speak it to me in a synthetic speech. And in particular we want to show how a blind student would be accessing the Black Board system so that you can have some idea what your students are going to be going through for this. By the way I'm the CEO of a non-profit called EASI, Equal Access to Software Information, and helping schools do this kind of thing is my bread and butter and keeps me happy all day.
