5/13/14: UMS Trustees to Meet in Bangor on May 18-19

System-wide budget on the agenda

BANGOR – Trustees of the University of Maine System will meet at the System Office headquarters in downtown Bangor on Sunday and Monday, May 18-19.

The System’s proposed $529 million unified operating budget will be reviewed and considered by Trustees on Monday morning.  As part of this, the annual Student Charges Report will also be considered. The System is proposing continuation of a tuition freeze, if State appropriation is not reduced.  If the budget is approved by Trustees, this would mark the first time since 1984-1987, that there has been no in-state undergraduate or graduate tuition increase for 3 consecutive years.
